The Pocketed Body is a series of garments: reclaiming pockets, exploring feminism, uniformity, and the in-between. Examining pockets and their impact on gender roles, this project reimagines them as tools of empowerment. These garments are designed for the daily commute walking, cycling, or using the train/bus in urban environments. This project explores how pockets offer practical storage solutions, but also illustrates them as symbols of identity and self expression using post-industrial textile waste.
