Born from the desire to explore and experiment with form, this project started with the initial
idea of transforming and redesigning a door stop invoking imagery of a golden pothos plant.
Pothos Door Stops were molded in the material of Rockite with color explorations of the same Rockite material and dyes. My process includes
several documentation photos, so I can see where my process starts and where it ends. Typically
I start any project by jotting down my thoughts and doing some rough thumbnail sketches. Next,
I sketch my ideas larger and gather images that correlate to and inspire what I want to design.
Last, I make sketch models, finalize my design, and start the process of making my final
model expressed throughout documentation photos below.
